Baton Rouge Community Real Estate: Single Women Homebuyers

National and Baton Rouge mortgage trends

In Baton Rouge, the mortgage trends follow, to a certain extent, the national trends. Therefore, the fact that nationwide there is an increase in single women homebuyers means that the same is likely true in Baton Rouge community real estate.

The Banks.com mortgage blog points out that single women make a good dempgraphic:

Single women are independent, have disposable income and are often
interested in making solid financial decisions. And with the current
down real estate market in many parts of the country, professional
women are looking to find bargains in real estate.

Additionally, NAR says that single women homebuyers have increased to 22 percent, the only demographic where mortgage trends are going up, as single men remain steady (nine percent) and married homeowners drop from 70 percent to 60 percent.
