LSU to Provide Counseling for Katrina First Responders

Help coming out of Baton Rouge area

One of the advantages of living in Baton Rouge is the access to great schools like LSU. And the state is taking notice as well. KATC.com reports on LSU and its support for Hurricane Katrina first responders:

The LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans will provide a part-time psychiatrist and two full-time social workers under a $250,000 contract to be overseen by the state Attorney General’s Office, Kris Wartelle an attorney general’s spokeswoman, said Thursday.

Hurricane Katrina still affects many in the state, and has been a factor in Baton Rouge real estate, prompting many to move to the area.
