Food, Entertainment at Tonight’s North Gate Fest

Become acquainted with the Chimes Street area

The annual North Gate Fest begins tonight at 6 p.m. in the Chimes Street area near LSU. The Advocate reports on tonight’s Baton Rouge event:

The goal, as conceived by the North Gate Merchants Association when it
created the free festival three years ago, is to use food, music,
spirits and — this year — history to help build the neighborhood’s
identity, attract new visitors and perhaps reacquaint older LSU
graduates with the ever-evolving area.

Some of the festivities include live entertainment, food, a beer tasting, free parking (Tiger Manor) and door prizes.
