Rumors Link LSU Coach Les Miles to Now-Open Michigan Job

LSU coach denies that any offer has been made

With a program that is doing well this year LSU football is beginning to get the jitters that its coach, Les Miles, will head to Michigan to take the job Lloyd Carr recently vacated. With commentators on ESPN saying that Miles would be perfect for the Michigan top job (he played and coached there before), Miles himself spoke emotionally in a press conference, insisting that Michigan hadn’t called him. MLive.com reports on comments from Les Miles:

"I love this team," he said, before pausing and trying to compose
himself. In a choked voice he then added, "And I will not do anything
to hurt them."
