Les Miles to Speak with University of Michigan

LSU athletic director grants permission

LSU athletic director Skip Bertman granted the University of Michigan permission to speak with Les Miles about the head coaching job opened up by the resignation of Lloyd Carr. The Detroit Free Press reports on the reasoning Bertman gave for allowing it:

"There isn’t any reason in the world why Coach Miles shouldn’t be allowed to speak to his alma mater."

Les Miles has been the head of a successful LSU football program, steering the team through Hurricane Katrina.
