Baton Rouge “Bad Air Days” Decreasing
Air quality improving in Baton Rouge
One of the big concerns in a variety of cities across the nation is air quality. Many cities have started monitoring "bad air days" and implementing programs to improve air quality. Baton Rouge is no exception. The Advocate reports that Baton Rouge "bad air days" are on the decline this year:
In 2006, there were 20 days when ozone monitors in the area measured
ozone above levels allowed by the federal air standards. In 2007 so
far, there were 14 such days, said Jennifer Mouton, administrator with
the Louisiana Department of Environmental Air Quality Assessment
