New Sheriff Sid Gautreaux Looks into Solutions for East Baton Rouge Parish
External transistion team will offer suggestions to problems facing East Baton Rouge Parish
East Baton Rouge Parish has a new sheriff in town. Sid Gautreaux has been acclimating to his elected position as head of law enforcement for the parish. And one of his main concerns is improving the prison located on Baton Rouge real estate. He points out that it is outdated, and needs expansion as well. Additionally, Gautreaux wants a committee to help him identify problems in East Baton Rouge Parish that fall under his jurisdiction. Southeast News reports:
…Gautreaux has formed an external transition team made up of people from the public and private sector to evaluate the problems in East Baton Rouge Parish and make recommendations based on those evaluations.
The article also points out that Gautreaux plans to form an internal team to address problems in the department.
