Tax Rebate Coming to Baton Rouge Communities

Economic stimulus might help Baton Rouge communities

Even though many Americans say that they will use the tax rebate offered in the recently passed economic stimulus package, past experience shows that most Americans spend such windfalls. If this is the case, the money in the pockets of local residents may help Baton Rouge communities. Forbes reports on the tax rebate:

Like the House bill, the Senate version provides tax rebates of up to
$600 for individuals and $1,200 for couples, as well as several
adjustments to business taxes. It also grants a $300 per child rebate
to those receiving rebate checks.

Now the economic stimulus package heads to President Bush, who is expected to sign it.
