Baton Rouge Loop Could Be Good Addition to Real Estate
Increased economic development could come from Baton Rouge Loop
The Baton Rouge Loop is becoming a subject of local real estate controversy. Some have concerns about how it would affect Baton Rouge real estate. Others, though, see potential for economic development in the area of the Baton Rouge Loop. The Advocate reports on the prospects of the Baton Rouge Loop:
Mayor-President Kip Holden said the main objective of the proposed
Baton Rouge Loop is to relieve traffic congestion. But Holden said he’s
excited about the prospect of resulting economic development that could
expand the property tax base of not only cities and parishes in the
Baton Rouge area, but also school systems and other taxing authorities.
In order to help quiet fears about the new, high-tech toll system that would come with the Baton Rouge Loop, a delegation from Baton Rouge visited a similar plaza in Dallas, Texas to see how it might work.
