Actress Debbie Allen Comes to Baton Rouge


Allen's Baton Rouge production to show this weekend

Actress Debbie Allen, who is the director of the hot Broadway hit Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, is in Baton Rouge this weekend for a production at the Baton Rouge Community College.

Allen’s African American version of the Tennessee Williams classic play is one of the most popular tickets on Broadway, and she has brought her talent to Baton Rouge with her production. WAFB 9 reports on the Allen production, Brothers of the Knight:

Ms. Allen brought in professionals to
teach local dancers the show, featuring ballet, swing dance, hip hop,
slide, tap, stepping.


Tickets are $15 and available through the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.
