Art Melt to begin Saturday, July 11, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Art Melt is a combination of fine art, live music, dance performances and food, its goal being to give exposure to the arts for all ages as a fun, enjoyable experience. Art Melt consists of art being displayed inside the Shaw Center as well as an art market, outdoor music and dance performances, and a variety of food available. Among the dance performances the LSU Tap Ensemble, the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre and the Playmakers Theater Group are slated to appear along with other groups.
Art Melt has evolved into one of the premiere art shows in Louisiana and is not to be missed. The 5th Annual Art Melt will take place this Friday, July 11th, from 6:30 until 10:00 p.m. at the Shaw Center for the Arts in Downtown Baton Rouge. Art Melt is free to the public and open to all ages. Proceeds from the event will go to the Shaw Center for the Arts and the Manship Theatre.
