On Saturday, July 19th backyard compost bins will again be on sale. The bins typically retail for $100 and will be available for $30. The compost bins will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will be available for sale from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. A total of 1,200 bins will be available for sale at the Louisiana Department of Insurance, Receivership Office, located at 6945 Florida Boulevard in Baton Rouge.

By purchasing one of the compost bins you will be doing your part toward the environment by saving resources and landfill space.
