The Baton Rouge Epicurean Society is putting on “A Celebration of Food and Wine” Thursday, August 25th, at the Marriott Hotel, 5500 Hilton Avenue, Baton Rouge, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.  All proceeds from the event will go to youth causes, benefitting such causes as Smart Bodies, 4-H ’The Power of Youth,’ ProStart and Epicurean Scholarship funding.

Gourmet groceries and food from Baton Rouge restaurants will be offered while some of the best chefs from around Baton Rouge prepare delicacies, all of which can be complimented by over 150 wines.  There will be a silent auction and door prizes as well.  The cost for tickets will be $75 in advance or $85 at the door.
