Literary Week in Baton Rouge LA Supports Women
The Women’s Council of Baton Rouge is celebrating women this week with its celebration entitled “Women!”. The celebration goes though September 28th and is a celebration of the literary kind. The week kicks off on Tuesday evening, September 23, with local author Joseph Ricapito discussing his novel Fratelli. On Thursday evening the literary event continues with a panel of seven women authors with an evening entitled “Lost & Found, Women Writers on Reality,” where the women will read from their original works, discussing the subject of “loss”. On Thursday and Friday the East Baton Rouge Parish Library will celebrate its 31st annual Author/Illustrator Program with children’s author and illustrator, Tedd Arnold. Different book signings will also take place throughout the week. Author am Kastner will be at the Zachary branch library Saturday and a HeartLa meeting will occur at the Blubonnet Branch library as well.
