LSU Students Garden to Give in Baton Rouge

Students from two classes at LSU have contributed their harvest to St. Vincent de Paul, a Baton Rouge charitable organization that feeds those in need.  The classes, a vegetable crops class and an organic gardening class, are giving their LSU students the opportunity to learn about organic gardening and in return the students have used their planting success to do good in their community and give back.  The crops class met with leaders at St Vincent de Paul to find out what crops were needed and what quntity.  The crops class then made a plan after determining how much of each crop to plant, the space needed and the time necessary to grow such a harvest.  The gardening class then took over and planted according to the crops class plan.  The end result has been a bounty for the needy, a successful story all around.

LSU benefits the Baton Rouge community in so many ways, from sports and culture, to education and community.  Baton Rouge is a special city with many opportunities.  Consider relocating to Baton Rouge and live in a city with a lot to offer.
