The LSU Tigers baseball team held their season opener game on Friday night against Villanova winning 12 to 3. What made the night extra special for LSU is the fact the the game was the first ever in LSU’s new baseball stadium. The game was prefaced with a video of the history of LSU baseball and a fireworks display. The stadium has 9,200 seats and was enjoyed by all who attended. The stadium was very close to full and the Tigers impressed their fans by a landslide win in the first home game of the season.
