The “Green” pavilion from Sunday’s Earth Day celebration in Baton Rouge offers its visitors a glimpse of how to aid the environment.  The pavilion is called the “Going Green in the Red Stick” pavilion and features information on steps that can be made to make your home more energy efficient as well as ways to reduce your carbon footprint overall.  The Pavilion will demonstrate low-flush toilets, efficient water heaters, xeroscape gardening techniques and energy-efficient light-bulbs.  The “Going Green in the Red Stick” pavilion is intended to promote environmentally friendly living practices and will offer its visitors advice on everything from remodeling a home to recycling.  The new administration has passed tax incentives for “green” improvements to your home and Baton Rouge would like to help educate its residents on exactly how to do this.
