Saturday is the annual Seize the Day and Take a Walk in Baton Rouge, a walk which benefits Epilepsy.  The walk is a 5k fun run or walk and raises proceeds for Epilepsy as well as awareness for the disease.  This year marks the 5th annual event for the group and continues to inform those with the disease on existing resources, introduce people with epilepsy to others with the disease and educate the public about the disease.  The 5k is for serious runners as well as people who just want to get off the couch and outside.  This is a family event, open to everyone.  The 5k will take place at LSU.  The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will take place from 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk will start between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.  Post race activities, awards, prizes, will continue until 12:00 p.m.  For more information visit the event’s website, www.seizethedayrace.org.  Enjoy Spring in Baton Rouge and take a walk for a cause.
