New restaurants are opening in Downtown Baton Rouge, offering residents and visitors alike more dining options.  Wags on the Levee and Stroubes are two new restaurants in Baton Rouge which have braved the economy and opened their doors.  A recent article at WAFB.com quoted Stroubes’ manager as saying “We see nothing but potential and that made us open up this one.  People asked, ‘Why did you open up another one?’ If we didn’t do it somebody else would, so might as well get the market while we can.”  Clearly a need is seen for dining options in Baton Rouge and people are taking advantage of the opportunities at hand.  Baton Rouge appears to be weathering the storm better than most areas and now people there have more choices when it comes to food too.
