Help Keep Baton Rouge Beautiful This Weekend

Help clean up Baton Rouge this weekend
The organization Keep Baton Rouge Beautiful is out to do exactly what its name suggests this weekend with the focus on the coast of Baton Rouge as well as two other locations. Baton Rouge Beach, the Louisiana Arts & Science Museum Planetarium and at the Banks Elementary School. The annual event has a goal of getting rid of litter in Baton Rouge and volunteers who show up help improve the quality of their city. Litter near the water eventually ends up in the water, hurting the wildlife and ecosystem in the process. The Baton Rouge Beach Sweep involves the community and educates people on the harm that litter has to our environment and how keeping our area clean helps everyone. Visit KBRB.org for more information on how to help keep Baton Rouge beautiful as well as how to help this weekend.
