Baton Rouge has made it onto a list of one of the best mid-sized cities to start a new business in.  Baton Rouge ranks number 9 on the list of “Top 20 large, mid-size and small cities in the U.S.”  The ranking was put together by Fortune Small Business magazine and the Kauffman Foundation.  Lafayette Louisiana also made the list, landing in the number two spot.  The criteria for Baton Rouge making the list were, its tax incentives for digital media and technology companies, its population growth, and its growth in engineering and construction.  Making the list is another boon for Baton Rouge which has been sliding through the recession relatively unscathed.
