Enjoy a rural Christmas in Baton Rouge this weekend

Christmas in the past is alive in Baton Rouge, offering a glimpse of the way life used to be.  On Sunday, December 6th, enjoy the Rural Life Christmas from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., at LSU’s Rural Life Museum.  Rural Life Christmas allows visitors to enjoy a Christmas from the past with stories, music, hot cider, and traditional Louisiana fare of Jambalaya and Gumbo.  Rural Life Christmas brings everyone back in time in Baton Rouge.

The museum also has demonstrations of soap making, candle making and blacksmithing.  Santa Claus is called Papa Noel at the Rural Life Museum and is sure to please the children of Baton Rouge LA.  Children 10 and other are free, for those over 10 admission is $7.  For more information call (225) 765-2437.
