Christmas has come and gone in Baton Rouge Louisiana and if you are wondering what to do with your Christmas tree now that you have taken all of the ornaments off and put the away, wonder no more. Start the new year off right by doing your part to be green. Until January 12th you can put your tree on the curb to be picked up. The trees will be taken to a company that turns them into mulch or uses them in other helpful ways. Trees should be void of all ornaments, lights, and tinsel before being placed in front of your home.
If you wait until after January 12th to remove your Christmas tree there will be places to drop your tree off throughout the Baton Rouge area. Trees can be dropped off until January 25th at: Independence Park (7500 Independence Park Blvd), Highland Road Park (14024 Highland Road), Kathy Drive Park (off of O’Neal Lane by Team Toyota), North Sherwood Forest Park (3140 N. Sherwood Forest Blvd), Pecue Wood Recycling Facility (9455 Pecue Lane), Scenic Highway Wood Recycling Facility (12601 Scenic Highway), the parking lot across from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine on Skip Bertman Drive.
Baton Rouge is doing its part to make Christmas tree recycling easy for everyone.
