Surrealism is Alive and Well in Baton Rouge LA
Surrealism is alive and well in Baton Rouge LA, being celebrated with a juried exhibit at the Baton Rouge Gallery through the 28th of January. This is the second annual exhibit, titled the Surreal Salon. 35 artists from across the country are on display, offering art enthusiasts from Baton Rouge the opportunity to observe Surrealism and its place in contemporary art.
In addition to the exhibit, on January 23 there will be a celebration of art. The Surreal Soiree will be an evening of art, music and costumes at the gallery. The soiree will go from 6 to 10 p.m. and the cost for admission is $15. Whether you live in Baton Rouge or will be visiting the area mark your calendar for an evening unlike any other.
