Baton Rouge residents have moved the city up in an annual well-being index created by Gallup-Healthways.  What it all boils down to is that Baton Rouge residents are hopeful.  According to the survey Baton Rouge is actually number one in terms of life evaluation, up from number 56 last year.

According to a recent article in The Advocate, in addition to life evaluation the the poll evaluates “ emotional health, physical health, healthy behaviors, work environment and access to the basic necessities.”  Baton Rouge Louisiana ranked number 54 overall compared with a past score of 151.  As a whole Baton Rouge has weathered the recession well and does its part to create job and move toward a positive future.
