Baton Rouge Communities: Garden District

The Garden District contains the first subdivision in Baton Rouge real estate

Baton Rouge real estate saw its first subdivision, Roseland Terrace, marked out in 1911. Today, Roseland Terrace is part of the Garden District, one of the upscale Baton Rouge communities.

Baton Rouge real estate in the Garden District is generally very nice. The historic Baton Rouge homes have been fairly well preserved. While there are still some good Baton Rouge real estate deals to be had in the Garden District, the homes prices in general are on the rise.

Because Roseland Terrace was begun with the idea of preserving natural beauty, the Garden District is one of the Baton Rouge communities with a great deal of foliage.
